New Milford is located in the Housatonic River Valley in the beautiful Litchfield Hills of Northwestern Connecticut. The community of New Milford dates back to Colonial times (1700’s) and has a population of approximately 26,000. The New Milford Village Green is typical of New England and is the longest contiguous village green in the state. The town is geographically the largest in the state, dotted with numerous farms and wooded areas. New Milford has its own consolidated school district with over 5200 students (K-12). The High School has about 1450 students and the Jr.High/Middle and Elementary schools have 2100 and 1600 students respectively. The community is steadily growing.
